Tamar Oosterhof (37) was born in Amsterdam, grew up in Kibbutz Yizreel in the Jezreel Valley, currently lives in Haifa. She is a multidisciplinary artist and creator, moving between stage, video, and visual art. She studied at the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem, holds a first degree in Education (with honors) from David Yellin College, and has a master's degree from Bezalel. Currently, she is studying philosophy at Tel Aviv University. She has presented a number of stage works on behalf of the Interdisciplinary Arena in Jerusalem, curated and artistically directed the 'Art in Oost' festival in Amsterdam and exhibit  several solo exhibitions, including Gallery Line 16 in Tel Aviv and the Israeli Center for Digital Art in Holon. She curates and manages the 'Tiyul Lalya'   (night walk) night gallery - a nighttime art space in Haifa. She is the recipient of the Palmus Grant for Creative Work for the year 2024.

Throughout the years, I have also been involved in education. My primary creative and educational work has been done in or in relation to the geographical and cultural periphery. I believe that art is a gateway to encounters and enables dialogue between different people and populations, allowing for complex discourse around difficult and sensitive issues. I believe in peace, partnership, and compassion, and in our human ability to create change.
